LTP is NSE's last traded price for the latest completed session (date under LTP; refreshed Mon–Fri ~18:30 IST after close). Issue (digital) = RBI nominal − ₹50 (online/digital applicants); nominal shown beneath. "Since Issue" is price return only vs digital issue price — excludes 2.50% p.a. coupons. "vs Gold" = LTP vs IBJA 999 3-day PM average per gram (IBJA 999 · 3-day PM avg (3 Nov to 5 Nov 2026)) — RBI redemption formula for modern SGB tranches. The LTP also carries the interest accrued since the last half-yearly coupon (up to 1.25% of the issue price), which "vs Gold" does not take out. "Early exit" is the next interest date from the fifth year of issue on which RBI accepts early redemption, at the same gold-price basis. Rows marked "no trade" show the exchange's last print with zero volume that session, and no "vs Gold" or "Since Issue" figure: a return on a stale print is not a current one. Facts only, not a buy/sell signal.
How to Read This
Why This Differs From Gold ETFs
SGBs pay a fixed 2.50% p.a. cash coupon on top of any gold price movement, and redemption is exempt from capital gains tax if held to maturity — features no gold ETF or physical gold offers. The secondary-market price you see here can diverge from the gold-equivalent value because of this extra value, plus ordinary liquidity effects.
Sources
Issuance of new SGB tranches has been paused since FY24 — this page tracks the secondary market for tranches already outstanding.
What is the SGB price today?
There is no single official secondary-market SGB price. Each listed NSE tranche has its own last traded price (LTP). This tracker lists LTP for every live series after the daily NSE scrape, alongside IBJA gold spot for comparison.
How do I track Sovereign Gold Bond prices on NSE?
Match the series symbol (or maturity year) from your demat statement to the table on this page. LTP is the exchange print; vs Gold compares that print to the IBJA 999 rate RBI uses for redemptions. Brokers usually show LTP only.
Why does an SGB trade above or below gold price?
The bond pays 2.5% a year on issue price, and original subscribers who hold to maturity still get a capital-gains exemption secondary-market buyers largely lost after Budget 2026. Those features can push LTP above gold-equivalent value; thin liquidity can push it below. vs Gold is arithmetic, not a valuation opinion.
Where can I see gold bonds price today versus spot gold?
Use the vs Gold column here. It compares each tranche LTP to the IBJA 999-purity spot rate per gram — the same reference family RBI uses in SGB redemption maths.
