Account help
How accounts on RetailBonds.in work. Still stuck? Write to [email protected].
What an account gives you
- Watchlist: tap the star on a bond or issuer page to follow it. On days one of them has a new rating action or payment update, we email you.
- Portfolio: note the bonds you hold and see their coupon and redemption dates in a cash-flow calendar.
- Notes and saved screens: your own notes on a bond, and screener searches saved to run again.
An account is free. We don't sell bonds, take orders or give investment advice; what you save is for your own records. New sign-ups are paused while we finish accounts; existing accounts sign in as usual.
Signing in without a password
Enter your email on the sign-in page and we send a 6-digit code and a sign-in link. Type the code into the page you started on, or open the link in the browser you want to use. Each works once and expires in 15 minutes. You can also use "Continue with Google" once your Google account is linked on your account page.
A browser stays signed in while you use it, for up to 90 days, or 30 days without a visit. Your account page lists every signed-in browser, and you can sign any of them out there.
The code didn't arrive
- Check spam or promotions. The email comes from RetailBonds.in.
- Use the newest email: asking again makes the older code stop working.
- After 5 wrong tries a code stops working; ask for a new one.
- You can ask for 5 codes an hour for one address. After that, wait an hour.
- Make sure the address is the one on your account. If you changed it, use the new one.
Emails and alerts
All in one place on Email settings:
- Watchlist email: on by default and daily, sent only on days something you watch changes. In email settings you can make it weekly instead: one email on Monday mornings with your watchlist's week, plus the week's rating actions, new public NCD issues and market signals. Sections with nothing in them are left out. If you also get the weekly digest at the same address, you get this one email instead of both.
- NCD issue emails: off by default; when a public NCD issue opens for subscription.
- Weekly digest and issuer alerts (the bell on an issuer page): these work with or without an account, under the same email address.
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Free-plan limits
- Watchlist: up to 10 bonds and issuers. Bonds that have matured, been redeemed early or delisted stay on it until you remove them, and don't count. You can import a list of ISINs and download your watchlist as a CSV from the watchlist page. Groups such as "Tax-free" sort it; each item sits in one group or none, groups don't count toward the limit, and you can leave a group out of the daily email. Tags work alongside groups: an item can carry up to 10 (lowercase, up to 20 characters each), and you can filter the watchlist by tag. Groups and tags are in the CSV. On a watched bond you can set a yield alert, a level above or below which you want to hear about it: new exchange trades are checked daily, a small trade counts only when a second trading day is also past the level, and a crossing is listed once in the daily email with the trade date, yield, size and exchange. The alert starts again once the yield is back on the other side.
- Portfolio: up to 10 holdings.
- Saved screens: up to 3. Each can have an email alert (Alert, next to the screen's name on the screener): every morning the screen's filters are run again, and bonds that match for the first time since you turned the alert on are emailed, up to 20 per email with a link to the full results. A bond that drops out of the results and comes back is not sent again, and saving new filters under the same name starts the list afresh.
Security
- When a browser you haven't used before signs in, we email you, with a link that signs that browser out.
- You can change the email you sign in with on your account page: we send a code to the new address, and a note to the old one.
- Codes go to your inbox, so keeping your email account secure keeps this one secure.
Download or delete your data
"Download my data" on your account page gives one file with everything we hold about your account. "Delete account" removes it straight away, signs out every browser and emails you a confirmation; you can choose to end your email subscriptions too. See the privacy policy for more.
